Character Guide
This is a guide on how to lay out your character profile if you’re having difficulty finding a way.
Part One – Basic Information
Basic information should cover things such as the character’s name, age, ranking- if any- species, orientation and well as things like languages they know and their origins. On a first glance this should give all the vital things another person should need to know besides how the character looks.
Remember!
The ‘title’ or ‘rank’ section is only required to people who work either on ships or for the federation. Otherwise it functions as a job title.
If you’re applying as a new species, you can post the character profile, but remember a full description of the species and it’s origins will be required to be posted on the ‘Requests’ board. If it does not meet out rules, you will have to remove the profile.
Each new character needs a new account with their name. You must use that account to post as them.
Part Two – Basic Appearance
This section is a simply list of your character appearance and attributes, which would have to be cross-referenced with their species description. Things like hair colour- or lack of hair- skin colour, height, weight and so on can be put here. You’ll know when this is successful when a person can look quickly at it and basically know how your character looks.
Remember!
Pictures can also be used to make looks clearer, but there must be text as well! The site does not allow for pictures only for any characters. If the picture is above 500 pixels in width or height, please put a hyperlink to it instead of displaying it.
Part Three – Relationships
Relationships are entirely optional and used by people who have them to keep track of how their character interacts with other characters and where their relationship last left off. You can split it in as many ways as you want and how many categories you want.
Part Four – Favourites
Another entirely optional part to the profile. Basically a short list of their favourite foods, places, entertainments and what ever else you can think about. Remember there’s a whole universe out there! And not all human things will be known about or even appreciated, so you can let your imagination run a little wild as long as there’s an explanation if it gets too difficult.
Part Five – Description
A longer, more detailed description of your characters looks personality and history, this should total the equivalent of at least two five-line paragraphs, and it proves that you can provide the quality we’re looking for. If you can’t succeed in this, then it’s likely you won’t be able to cope with the site, so put some effort in!
Remember!
Not every race in the world is humanoid.
Not all characters can be pretty, slim, attractive and brilliant at everything. Truth be told if the character gets close to meeting all those then something is wrong!
